Federal Administrative Center Guisanplatz – Bern

In the evolving administrative quarter of Bern, the Swiss Federal Office for Buildings and Logistics (UFCL) is shaping a modern, sustainable campus at the Verwaltungszentrum Guisanplatz. CEIR is proud to have contributed to this long-term vision through its involvement in the original construction phase, completed in 2014.

Designed by Aebi & Vincent Architekten SIA AG, the first building within the complex—known as Building A—features six above-ground floors arranged around a light-filled central courtyard. The architectural concept embraces a “multi-space” layout, promoting collaboration while accommodating quiet, focused work. This adaptable interior supports the UFCL’s mission to provide functional, long-lasting infrastructure for the federal administration.

CEIR supplied and installed Tetrál Line B5 open-cell aluminum ceiling panels, selected for their clean geometry, technical performance, and compatibility with sustainable design principles. These systems help improve acoustics, air distribution, and visual harmony, contributing to an environment that balances efficiency with well-being.

The Guisanplatz campus continues to grow, with new buildings under construction to support the evolving needs of federal services. CEIR is honored to have played a role in the foundation of this significant government hub—an emblem of architectural quality, flexibility, and sustainability.
